This year’s Highlands Motoring Festival featured new entertainment thanks to Carrera USA and O.P. Taylor’s Carrera Race Center. They brought a digital 1:32 scale slot car track to provide excitement for young and old, men and women. Throughout the day, people could compete for a small donation to this year’s charity, Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society, for the fastest time. Each entrant received a dollar off coupon to Sweet Treats Ice Cream and a Hot Wheels car from The Toy Store.
The fastest time won a new digital 1:32 slot car set, compliments of O.P Taylor’s Toy Store. Competition was fierce but the winner was young (8 years of age), Jack Spahr, first time driver. Talk about Christmas in July. Watch the video.
